Can I really export everything?
Yes. One click gives you a .zip of plain Markdown files — the same files VaultWeb stores, readable in Obsidian, VS Code, or any text editor. Works on any plan, on the trial, or after cancellation.
What does zero-knowledge encryption mean?
Your notes are encrypted on your device, using a key derived from your password, before anything leaves your browser. VaultWeb's servers only ever hold encrypted bytes and cannot read your notes. See exactly how →
If you can't read my notes, how does sharing work?
Sharing keys are handled in your browser, not on the server. A public share link carries its decryption key in the URL fragment, so recipients decrypt locally; sharing with a person seals the key to their account key. The server never sees plaintext.
What if I need more than 2GB?
Most vaults never come close — a book-length library of notes is only a few dozen megabytes. If you store many images or PDFs and need more room, get in touch and we'll sort it out quickly.
Will you raise the price on me?
No. The rate you join at is locked for as long as you stay subscribed. Any pricing change applies only to new sign-ups. Pioneers are never billed again.
