Your notes.
Everywhere you are.
Yours alone.

The web-native home for your Markdown vault — including the machines Obsidian can't reach. Bring your vault, keep your files, read them anywhere. Only you can.

The editor in use — a clean, calm writing surface.

Web-native means your vault lives online, so you reach it anywhere. Encrypted means only you can read it — not us, not anyone holding your device, not anyone who breaks into our servers.

Bring your vault. Nothing to convert.

Plain .md files, wikilinks, frontmatter, folders — your existing Obsidian vault opens and works exactly as it is. No import wizard, no proprietary format, no lock-in on the way in either. Drop it in and keep writing.

A real Obsidian vault opening in VaultWeb, unchanged.

Your eyes only — by architecture, not promise.

Your notes are encrypted on our servers, encrypted in your device's local cache, and readable only in memory, on your screen, while you're looking at them. Lose your laptop, hand it to a repair shop, get hit by malware — the files on disk are unreadable blobs. Most notes apps can't say that. We can.

Leave anytime. Take everything.

One click exports your whole vault as plain Markdown — the same files, readable in Obsidian, VS Code, or any editor. Cancel and your account stays readable and exportable forever. We earn your subscription every year; we never hold your words hostage to keep it.

The one-click export → a folder of .md files.

And it goes further

More than a blank page — VaultWeb ships with ready-made systems. Use one, use all, or ignore them and just write.

Built by someone who hit the wall

VaultWeb started with one person who wanted their own words — portable, private, and reachable everywhere — and found that no tool would simply let them. Locked out of a Markdown vault on a client's machine, with no way to install anything, the choice was to accept the wall or remove it. This is the removal.

Your notes should outlive any one app, live wherever you do, and answer to no one but you. That principle is the whole product.
